Global Entrepreneurship

Overview

Based in South Portland, Maine at Southern Maine Community College (SMCC), this program helps students develop real-world entrepreneurship skills while learning from local business leaders.
 

Participants create and pitch their own business ideas, collaborate with peers from around the world, and experience the vibrant U.S. startup scene.
 

Beyond the classroom, students enjoy cultural immersion through campus life and weekend activities such as visits to Harvard University and local sporting events.

  • July 8th – July 28th each year

Program Availability

  • Students must be 18-20 years old.
     

  • Students must achieve an ELTiS score of at least 230, demonstrating strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.
     

  • Applicants will be interviewed to verify English fluency prior to acceptance.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be able to commit the duration up to three weeks.
