No words can truly describe my experience on the Work and Travel USA program. It was my first time stepping out of my home country to live and work abroad. Unlike studying overseas, this program pushed me into the real world, where I had to be independent, manage my own finances, and adapt to a completely new culture.
I began my job at Donut Time in Cedar Point Amusement Park, learning how to brew coffee and serve guests. Later, I transferred to Johnny Rockets as a cook, mastering everything from grilling to preparing burgers and salads. It was demanding but incredibly rewarding, especially as I learned new skills and became part of a warm, supportive team.
Beyond work, Cedar Point was a melting pot of cultures. Through employee events and friendships with people from America, Europe, and South America, I gained a deeper appreciation for diversity and connection.
Free access to the park’s world-famous rollercoasters was an unforgettable perk that made every off day exciting.

When my contract ended, I traveled across the United States to places like Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. From the bright lights of Times Square to the breathtaking views of Niagara Falls, each stop reminded me how vast and beautiful the world is.
This journey changed my life completely. It taught me independence, confidence, and gratitude. The memories and friendships I made will stay with me forever, and I will always cherish being part of the Cedar Point and “Rocketiers” family.
