If I had to sum up my Work and Travel USA experience in one word, it would be fantastic! Coming from a humble background, traveling overseas once felt impossible until this program made my dream a reality.
I was assigned to the Merchandise Department at Cedar Point, one of America’s biggest amusement parks, where I sold souvenirs, restocked displays, and helped guests every day. It was not always easy as I had to handle cash manually and work in different stores, but I learned patience, teamwork, and the true meaning of customer service. Every smile from a happy visitor made the effort worthwhile.
What made it even more special was the friendships I built with people from all over the world such as America, Turkey, Taiwan, and Colombia. We learned from one another, shared our cultures, and created memories that still bring a smile to my face.
After work ended, I traveled across the United States, visiting breathtaking places like Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Seeing these landmarks in real life felt surreal, like stepping into the movies.

This journey taught me independence, courage, and appreciation for cultural diversity. It changed how I see the world and myself. I returned home with new confidence, unforgettable memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime. I am deeply thankful to CIEE, Speedwing, and everyone who made this incredible experience possible. It truly opened my eyes to the world and reminded me that dreams do come true.
